...until Manchester United arrive on MY side of the pond... in MY city! Okay, yes...they've been in North America (Chicago, specifically) since Monday...but it's a different level of excitement when they're in your neck of the woods.
A huge deal to have one of the world's most famous football teams here in our own backyard. I have waited for this day for eons which is fitting as AON is their new kit sponsor.
Bad joke but at least I tried!

What is this fascination with Man Utd? I live in a house of small boys and a big man who are also obsessed. It came from the fathers, the father's fathers etc. I'm more a Nottingham Forest girl myself. Where did you come across them? You English? Or is it the big legs the boys sport lol.
Ha ha! I've been a fan since the early '90s. At the time, I was fascinated with the Manchester music scene and things just grew from there -- including to the football team. I visited Old Trafford for a match for the very first time in '94. I'm going back this season, finally!
My background is English/Scottish. I'm also partial to teams from the Midlands as that's where the majority of my English ancestors come from. :)
Brilliant, best thing about United is they're not really a manchester thing. Nah, you need to go to Nottingham. Go see Forest and then go to the black orchid club if it still exists. My first football match was there in 94 too (we're getting old) and I disgraced myself by asking in the trophy room (me and the boy went with the Irish Forest Supporters Club) 'whose Cloughy?'. Enjoy the boys.
Too funny! Actually my first ever footy match in the UK was in 1993 -- at Notts County. Notts Co. v Derby County, I kid you not! I actually own the Notts. Co. shirt from that season!
Can you remember any anti-Derby songs? I can. Involves Sheep hahahha
